The KameLo PD-1 Aluminised Heat Shield Pad is designed to provide an additional layer of heat protection when working in high-temperature environments such as welding and metal fabrication.

Worn over welding gloves, the PD-1 helps reflect radiant heat away from the hands and reduces heat transfer to the glove interior. This helps keep your hands cooler and improves safety when working close to sparks, hot metal surfaces, or intense radiant heat.

The pad is especially useful in demanding tasks such as MIG and TIG welding, grinding, metal cutting, fabrication, boiler work, and other heavy-duty industrial jobs where gloves alone may not provide sufficient protection from radiant heat.

By adding a protective heat shield over your gloves, the PD-1 helps reduce the risk of burns caused by indirect heat exposure while allowing you to continue working comfortably and safely in tough working conditions.

For optimal protection, position the pad from the centre of the finger to the middle of the sleeve, ensuring full coverage over the back of the hand. The knuckle banding should rest on the palm-side knuckle, while the wrist banding should align with the starting point of wrist.
